Education Assistants and Volunteers

Teachers, Educational Assistants and Volunteers are at the heart and the very essence of Nutrition for Learning’s ability to offer student nutrition programs in local schools. Nutrition for Learning Volunteer’s positive, encouraging and welcoming environments are created through their passion, kindness and commitment to ensuring there is universal access to the appropriate food and nutrition at school.  Nutrition for Learning is very proud of the many dedicated and caring individuals who share their energy, time and compassion for the well-being of all students.

This June, Nutrition for Learning is suggesting that if parents and students are looking for something special to recognize a special teacher or someone at school please consider a donation in honor of someone special at school which includes a special ecard available at

Nutrition for Learning provides daily access to student nutrition programs currently in 136 schools to over 23,000 students a day in Waterloo Region. The children benefiting from the program may not be stereo-typical, low-income kids.  There a lot of reasons why kids may be hungry at school but whatever the reason they are welcome to the table.
